HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
In 2005, María del Carmen launched the Education Department of the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros where, drawing on her educational work for The Museum of Modern Art in New York, she founded and developed the Piensa en arte/Think Art platform for the Collection and the Fundación Cisneros.
Sofía and Luis joined the team in 2009.
Since its inception, Piensa en arte/Think Art has been implemented in Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Mexico, Venezuela, and the United States.
The following selected programs and projects were all carried out under the auspices of the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros and the Fundación Cisneros.
Our experiences implementing programs in different contexts and countries led us to identify broader educational needs for the 21st century and to transform and expand our work.
